CAPABILITIES
It’s all about performance! At CNC Industries we take pride in our productivity and efficiency in all operations. We purchase brand-new equipment from the best manufacturers in the industry so that we always have the latest and most cost efficient technology available.
Each job that we process begins with a “pre-flight” meeting to determine the best and lowest cost method of producing that particular part or assembly. An important factor in those meetings is matching the job to the machines. Of special note is that all of our CNC Machining Centers include custom designed, zero-point quick-change fixtures. The zero-point fixtures significantly reduce change-over time as well as increase batch to batch consistency.
We also pre-set all of our tools off-line on a high-accuracy pre-setter. Pre-setting tools significantly increases our machine up-time. Additionally all CNC programs are transferred into the machines from the machinist’s workstation which is located right next to the machine. All of these things add up to processing your parts with the highest level of quality at the lowest possible cost. Following is a brief overview of our capabilities.
Any discussion of capabilities has to begin with our people. At CNC Industries we are very fortunate to have a group of talented, hard-working people who are fully committed to the company as well as to providing our customers with the highest quality product available. We are immensely proud of our people!
We have multiple seats of Dessault Systemes (3DS) SolidWorks 3D CAD software. SolidWorks gives us powerful functionality that automates tasks, streamlines workflow, and helps us quickly define and validate the form, fit, and function of our designs. We plan to add multiple seats of Dessault Systemes Catia 3D CAD Design software in the near future. We can accept solid model files from virtually any CAD system.
We have multiple seats of SurfCam and ESPRIT multi-axis CAM software. ESPRIT’s seamless CAD to CAM interface directly imports any native part model from any source, fully intact, with no need for programmers to edit or rebuild geometry. ESPRIT directly machines from any combination of geometries — solids, surfaces, wireframe, or STL…
Metrology is the science of measurement. From the German-made Wenzel CMM’s to the skilled people programming and operating the sophisticated equipment, our inspection lab is second to none. As an ISO-9001 & AS9100 registered company we are committed to a carefully planned, process approach to quality assurance. Our Quality Management System plays an important role in our lean manufacturing efforts by detecting and preventing potential errors in every step of the manufacturing process.
We have a vast array of vertical machining centers equipped with high-speed spindles, super-speed controllers, and high-pressure coolant. Most of our vertical machining centers are 4 & 5 axis capable. All of our machining centers have custom designed quick-change fixture plates. Our vertical machining capacity is: 60″ x 26″ x 25″. Our vertical machining centers are from Haas, Brother & Enshu
The Toyoda FH450S is a heavy-duty Horizontal Machiing Center (HMC) designed for extremely fast metal removal. From the GE Fanuc 31i controller to the advanced construction of the machine, it represents the absolute latest in machining technology. This machine has a machining envelope of 24″ x 24″ x 24″.
Our four Okuma MB-5000H machines are high-speed, thermally-stable horizontal machining centers that offers quick acceleration, short tool changes and high power to improve productivity. These machines have a machining envelope of 30″ x 30″ x 30″.
Our high-performance turning centers include numerous high-productivity options including tool presetters, parts catchers, chip augers, tailstocks, and automatic bar feeders – all of which allow for unattended operation. Our turning capacity is up to 14″ diameter. Our turning centers are from Okuma & Haas.
With a layout design that maximizes shop floor, the Fastems 8760 Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) integrates logistics and information flow within our manufacturing process. Interfaced to (4) Okuma MB-5000 hi-speed horizontal machining centers this system is designed to operate 24/7.
From saws, to manual mills and lathes, to automated parts washers, to fork lifts, tooling, and many other categories, we have a shop full of support equipment. While most of these items don’t produce actual product, they play an important role in making sure our CNC Machines perform at their most efficient levels.
The vast majority of parts that we supply require a surface treatment. Some of the most common surface treatments that we provide include; bead blasting, vibratory finishing, Chem film per MIL-DTL-5541, Anodize, Hardcoat Anodize, Nickel, Tin, Tin-Lead, CARC Paint, Prime per MIL-P-23377, Paint per MIL-C-22750, Black Oxide, Copper, Zinc, Passivation, Cadmium, IVD Aluminum.
We have a very well equipped and skilled assembly department. From installing precision threaded inserts to complete assemblies or sub-assemblies, CNC Industries has the skill and experience to handle your assembly needs. Our assembly department includes clean, well organized and lighted individual assembly stations. Approximately 30% of the projects we receive include some sort of assembly.
Shipping and receiving is an important part of the process of supplying high-quality components on time. Our shipping department coordinates both incoming and out-going product, including our outsourcing needs. Getting our product to our customers in undamaged condition is our highest priority. Depending on the size and weight of the parts, we custom design our shipping containers to meet the needs of each individual project.
