Announcing a new General Manager

Fort Wayne IN, July 1, 2016– CNC Industries, Inc. is proud to announce that Patrick Lavelle has joined the company as General Manager. In this role he is responsible for strategy, financial performance, and growth of the business. Mr. Lavelle brings more than 30 years of award-winning success directing business, manufacturing, and turn-around operations, with special expertise in improving P&L, maximizing operational performance, and increasing quality and efficiency. His background includes overseeing aviation machining, composite assembly, precision machining, assembly and testing of circuit cards and subassemblies, and more, in the aerospace and military sectors.

Background

After graduating from college in 1985 Mr. Lavelle worked for Magnavox Electronics System Company before joining ITT in 1989. At ITT he held a series of increasingly responsible operations positions before being appointed Operations Director in 2001 of the Bowman program in the United Kingdom. In 2005 Mr. Lavelle was appointed Director of Manufacturing for ITT Communications Systems where he directed work in the Fort Wayne Indiana based value center on the SINCGARS, NEXCOM, and advanced products developed and produced at ITT CS. In August 2006 Mr. Lavelle assumed the additional responsibility of Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply. In 2008 he was appointed Vice President of Operations at ITT Corporation’s Integrated Structures Value Center in Amityville New York. In 2010 Mr. Lavelle was assigned Program Director global transformation of ITT’s SAP implementation program and then the divestiture of IT/Shared Services of ITT into 3 new corporations, ITT Corporation, Xylem, and ITT Exelis. In 2012 Mr. Lavelle moved to the private equity business arena joining Backland Aerospace, a private equity group with 3 companies specializing in precision machining for domestic and international aerospace, aviation, and defense markets. A year later he started his own private equity firm and acquired a precision stampings business for metal and non-metal components for domestic and international appliance, electronics and small motor manufacturers.

Mr. Lavelle earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology and an R.O.T.C. Commission in the US Army from Purdue University Fort Wayne and a Master’s in Business Administration from Ball State University. Mr. Lavelle led teams at ITT that earned ITT’s Gold Ring of Quality Award in 1992 and 2003, was presented the ITT Harold S. Geneen Award in 2006 for his contributions to the SINCGARS ramp-up program, and in 2007 the Communications Systems team was presented the Chairman’s Award for Operational Excellence. Mr. Lavelle holds a Value Based Six Sigma Greenbelt from the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering.
